About
Margaret Glackin:
Originally from Ireland, I am a Yorkshire based ceramic artist and woodworker. The utilitarian aspect of my domestic ware is a means of engaging my customers with practical items which are also pieces of art (eg Yarn Bowls, Circle of Life Urns).
All items are individually designed and the glazes are my own unique recipes, representing Yorkshire and the coastline of County Antrim.
Catherine Faley:
I produce various pieces made from reclaimed and other sustainably sourced wood. These include serving boards, boxes, tables, benches and other home furniture.
We work together in our self-built workshop which is made from reclaimed timber and other green materials. We are ably assisted by 2 cats who enjoy climbing into the kiln and over the equipment.
Our work is driven by a principle of challenging cheap imports and raising the profile of well-designed handmade ceramics and woodwork.
